The papers of Alexander John Alexander include correspondence and two of his scientific writings: an "Essay on Steam" and a "Memoir on Distillation." Also present is a collection of William Alexander's correspondence and legal papers pertaining to his dispute with Robert Morris. The papers of Christine Alexander include correspondence with her sisters Mariamne Williams and Bethia Alexander, including a lengthy letter written by Bethia when she was in Paris during the French Revolution. Also present are letters from Christine's nephew Henry Jonathan Williams written during his European tour.
